Boer goats at Lost Prairie Farm, Montana

At Lost Prairie Farm, we raise quality 100% Fullblood, Purebred and Percentage Boer goats.  We carefully cull to allow only the best traits to be passed down.

Our animals are raised in a natural environment with lots and lots of love and attention.  They are free to roam acres of pasture where they can browse and fresh water is always available.  During the winter months, our goats are fed pesticide-free hay cut from our pastures.

Our market goats are "all natural" grassfed ... no antibiotics or growth hormones.  They grow a bit more slowly than grain-fed kids, but the end result is definitely worth a few less pounds of meat!  Goat meat is called "chevon" and is delicious!  It's a very healthy meat!!

CODI/PCI Boer Goats

We are thrilled to announce the addition of "Rowdy River CODI Turbo Diesel" to our herd.  Turbo brings 100% CODI/PCI genetics to our Boer goat herd! Please check out our Boer Buck Herd Sire page.

Several of our does also have CODI/PCI genetics in their pedigrees. 

Health & Management

We operate a closed herd and breed for soundness, muscling, depth, correctness and good mothering ability.  Our herd is CL & CAE free.

We stand behind our animals and guarantee sound breeding stock.  We only sell animals that we ourselves would consider using in our breeding program.
